1. Who we are

Smart Signboard is a sign making company based at Office 107, Oasis Mall, Al Quoz 1, Dubai, UAE. We design, make, install and repair signs for businesses and homes in Dubai. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Smart Signboard.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote for, make and install your sign.

• Booking and enquiry details: your name, company name, mobile number, email address, the area and location of your premises, the service you are interested in, your preferred visit date and time, and any notes you add.
• Photos and files you send us, such as pictures of your shopfront, logos, drawings, your trade licence or tenancy documents needed for a sign permit.
• Account details: the email address you sign in with. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us.
• Project records: quotes, design mockups, orders, invoices, approval documents and warranty details linked to your account.
• Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
• Technical information that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in server logs by our hosting provider.

We do not collect payment card details on this website.

3. How we use it

• To arrange and carry out your site survey.
• To prepare designs, quotes and invoices.
• To apply for sign permits and landlord approvals on your behalf.
• To make, deliver, install and maintain your sign, and to honour its warranty.
• To run your online account, including emailing you a sign-in code.
• To reply to your questions and keep you updated on your project.
• To keep the business records the law requires.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only where the work needs it:

• Government authorities, free zone authorities, landlords, mall management and building management, when we submit a sign permit or no-objection request for you.
• Companies that run our website, database, file storage and email, which store the information on our behalf.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there. Their own privacy policies apply to those messages.
• Professional advisers, auditors or authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these service providers store data on servers outside the UAE. We use established providers and limit what we share to what the service needs.

5. Cookies

This website uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to keep the booking form working. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and bookings that do not become an order: up to two years, in case you come back to us.
• Project records, quotes and invoices: at least five years after the project ends, to meet accounting and tax rules and to support your warranty.
• Account details: for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to close it at any time.

7. How we protect it

Your account data is held in a secured database where each customer can see only their own records. Files you upload are kept in private storage and are opened through short-lived links. Access within our team is limited to the people working on your project. No system is completely secure, so please tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it.
• Stop contacting you about anything other than an active project.

To make a request, email admin@smartsignboard.com. We will reply as soon as we reasonably can.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses and adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also tell customers with an account by email.
